Keyblade wielders display several superhuman physical abilities. In that their level of strength, speed, and stamina significantly exceed what is theoretically feasible for a regular person. While most of the main warrior characters are born with good physical skills, they often increase their prowess by natural or intense training, though others are granted this increase with the Keyblade’s magic. Vanitas was not only granted his impressive physical abilities due to his unnatural birth, but became a powerful Keyblade wielder himself, and was personally trained by Master Xehanort for four years, resulting in his physical prowess being among the top levels in his series.
Vanitas can move at speeds faster than normal eyes can see without any expense to himself and without any gimmicks, even faking out his fellow Keyblade wielders (with his top speeds being within the boundaries of supersonic and lightspeed for short bursts). His speed naturally enhances his capabilities to move via running, jumping, and parkour-like maneuvers to keep his momentum going. His agility and balance are extremely coordinated, as he was shown effortlessly “surfing” atop an undulating wave-like cloud of Keyblades and performing rapid sequences of nearly impossible acrobatic feats without tiring or dizziness.
Vanitas’ strength goes well beyond the average human, as he’s seen breaking a heavy wooden Keyblade in half with no effort, creating a gust of wind powerful enough to send two Keyblade Masters flying with a single swing of his arm, and clashing blows with other Keyblade Masters, who have performed feats of strength ranging from lifting large boulders to knocking full-sized buildings through the air. His strength feeds into his physical strikes, as Vanitas’ attacks also compare and sometimes trump other Keyblade Masters, whose strikes have been shown to cleave apart buildings and landmasses, even able to shatter Ventus's metaphysical Dive to the Heart pillar with a single strike. His strength is further augmented through the χ-blade when Vanitas wields it, both the wind gust and pillar shattering being prime examples.
Vanitas’ resilience and durability are greatly enhanced beyond the other Keyblade wielders he battles against. He survives various beatings from many Keyblade Masters while taking little to no bodily damage, even laughing them off and instantly recovering from his defeat. Large amounts of blunt-force trauma tend to only put him down for a few moments before he revives, though he’s slightly more vulnerable to piercing or cutting attacks. But even those won’t pause him for long due to the hellish training he endured for years with his Master. Vanitas’ tolerance—and sardonic enjoyment—for pain and injury reaches nigh-disturbing levels. The deaths of the Unversed cause him immense physical agony, yet shortly after his creation, he kept creating and destroying Unversed out of his own self-loathing, developing a great resilience to pain.
His high endurance and stamina are intensely developed, seen in such instances as him jumping off a high cliff and landing squarely on his feet without the slightest discomfort or slowing down, and repeatedly fighting the trio of Keyblade Masters over the course of a few days on top of traveling between worlds to spread his Unversed. During the final battle, Vanitas bounced back and forth between battles, all while staying calm and composed and without showing signs of exhaustion or weakness as he fought one Keyblade Master long enough to drive her to unconsciousness. Even if he is defeated, his stamina and resilience enable him to quickly get back up as if nothing happened and act to either retreat or continue another round.
